About Personal Bible Study

It is a matter of great importance to study the Bible. Careful study of the Word of God was one ofindividual names that kings in ancient Israel did. Jesus followed this model. And those who rule with Christ inheaven kings which also should - individually and in groups - to engage in Bible study. (Luke 22:28-30,Romans 8:17, 2 Timothy 2:12, Revelation [Revelation] 5:10, 20:6) All of us who hope to receive blessings on earth under the Kingdom, we also follow this same model. Matthew 25:34, 46.

A task for us
"We can say emphatically and with all honesty that every true Christian should do its own examination of theBible , " says the magazine THE WATCHTOWER of 15jun.2002 (p. 14 par. 11) This is not something you need to do only when begin studying the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses or some other religion that encourages biblical research. Each of us must be resolved to avoid being as some Christians at the time of the Apostle Paul, who ended up neglecting the studystaff . They learned "the elementary things of the sacred pronouncements of God" such as "the primary doctrine about the Christ" But, there continued to study and so no "let us press on to maturity". (Hebrews 5:12-6:3) We can therefore ask ourselves: 'How to face the personal studyof God's Word , I want to be associated with a Christian congregation for a short time or you've been for decades? Paul prayed that Christians in his day continued to "increasing in the accurate knowledge of God" Will demonstrate the same desire? " Colossians 1:9, 10.

One step to have good study habits is to develop appreciation for the Word of God. Psalm 119:14-16 indicates that one way to take pleasure in God's Word is to develop the habit to meditate regularly and objectively what he says, avoiding would like to believe what she said . This applies no matter how long you have to be Christian. To emphasize this need, remember the example of Timothy. Although this ancient Christian has served as "a fine soldier of Christ Jesus" Paul urged him to do the utmost to "handling the word of the truth aright."(2 Timothy 2:3, 15, 1 Timothy 4:15) Clearly, a "Do your utmost" involves having good study habits. But remember: never trust doctrine that violates the biblical rule of "Do not go beyond the things that are written", as outlined here in this very blog, but unfortunately, even my religion has not observed this rule. 1 Corinthians 4:6

A measure to have good study habits is to set aside regular time for Bible study. What have you done in this regard? No matter what your honest answer, do you think would benefit from spending more time on personal study? You may ask: 'But how can I make time for it? "Well, some have increased their time to study the Bible for getting up a little earlier. You can read the Bible for about 15 minutes, or engaged in any personal project of study. As another possibility, what about making a small adjustment in your weekly schedule? For example, if you have the habit of surfing the Internet aimlessly here, you could stop doing this? Could use the time now to study the Bible more. If it failed to do so even if only for a day of the week and devote about 30 minutes that day to personal Bible study, earn more than 25 hours per year. Imagine the benefits of 25 hours of additional reading and studying the Bible! Another suggestion: Next week, review your activities at the end of each day. See if you can not eliminate or reduce an activity to gain more time for reading or Bible study. Ephesians 5:15, 16.

What could help make the study easier and more enjoyable for you? Have targets. Targets that could establish reasonable study? Many start with the excellent target to read or hear the entire Bible. Perhaps you've benefited from reading or listening to parts of the Bible. Could assume the commitment to yourself to read or listen to the entire Bible? Then you can go to understand the "deep things of God" as it is highly recommended here on this blog. 1 Corinthians 2:10.

Search the Scriptures
In Acts, chapter 17, verse 11 says that certain people had 'noble-minded'. Why? Because "examining the Scriptures daily as to whether these things were so", ie the things taught by the apostle Paul. They had been encouraged to use the Scriptures to even examine the teachings of an apostle, that will tell if these teachings come from a religious organization, however sincere it may be, such as the organization of Jehovah's Witnesses, which I am a member! You must do the same.

Keep in mind that the Scriptures are "inspired of God" and should be used for "for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16, 17) Therefore the Bible is complete in doctrinal matters. If a certain doctrine, that seems more real, but not in the Bible, we reject it immediately as "misguided teachings of men. " We do not want to be like those who are "always learning and yet never able to come to an accurate knowledge of truth." - 2 Timothy 3:1, 7.

Why then should we make our personal Bible study?
Why God transferred his only begotten Son from heaven to earth to finally suffer a cruel death? "in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life"(John 3:16) Yes, it was only by dying that Jesus could "give his soul a ransom in exchange for many." (Matthew 20:28) In fact, throughout history, none has shown greater love for humanity than Jehovah and his only begotten Son. - Romans 8:32.

After his death, Jesus "was declared God’s Son" in a very special and powerful "by means of resurrection from the dead" he came back to life as spiritual Son of God. (Romans 1:4, 1 Peter 3:18) After being revived, was "preaching a message of peace and reconciliation 'to the angels who sinned in pre-flood and are in jail awaiting trial - a' trial 'favorable for all those who accepted the 'message ' of Christ. (Colossians 1:20, 1 Peter 3:19, Genesis 6:2, 2 Peter 2:4) After this he went to his original world where he spent waiting patiently next to his father the day he was enthroned as the King of the Kingdom of God - a government that will soon rule this planet. - Psalm 2:7, 8; Daniel 7:13, 14.

Want to win the favor of powerful Son of God? If so, we encourage you to carefully examine the scriptures in your own study to find out everything you need on these two most important characters of our lives. Jesus himself said: "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ."(John 17:3) Yes, what the person believes on the Son and the Father through the bible study really makes a difference! - John 3:18, 14:6, 1 Timothy 6:19.
